This project comprised 17 archaeological surveys conducted across the Marillana project area, near the existing BHP Yandi mine site, during 2011–2012. The level of site recording varied across each survey depending on proposed activities in each area. Basic recording was undertaken for sites in low priority areas for site avoidance and management purposes. Detailed recording was undertaken for sites in high priority areas for section 18 application purposes. The project included all works associated with the development of the tenement, including exploration activities and proposed mining and infrastructure locations.
John joined the GJCRM team in November 2009 after completing his honours at the University of WA. John commenced as a Field Archaeologist and was promoted to Field Manager in 2010. In early 2014 John took a position as Project Manager which is his current role at Echoes CHM. John has widespread experience in archaeological surveys and excavations and has managed numerous cultural heritage surveys across a variety of locations in Western Australia including the Pilbara and Goldfields.
John's current responsibilities are planning, executing, and evaluating archaeological heritage surveys for specific projects. John is required to manage project teams and ensure quality control throughout the project life cycle.
John is exceptionally well organised with a pro-active attitude to everything he undertakes. He has good time management, strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities which have contributed to a sound record of reliability and accuracy and has forged strong relationships with our clients and teams.

Michelle began working as a professional archaeologist in Ireland in 2007 working initially as a General Operator and then as a Site Assistant on a number of commercial archaeology excavations and Technician Assistant throughout 2008.
Michelle joined the GJCRM team since 2010 working as a Field Manager and her current role is Project Manager for Echoes CHM, working with the Project Management team.
Michelle is involved in the planning, executing, and evaluating archaeological heritage surveys for specific projects. She also manages project teams, supervising field staff as required and ensuring quality control throughout the duration of each project. Michelle ensures that surveys run efficiently in the field by effectively managing field teams to achieve best possible outcomes for clients.
